Studies show nearly 1 in 4 construction workers are older than 55. With retirement on the horizon for this group, it comes as no surprise that the construction industry continues to face a labor shortage. By committing to host a Heavy Metal Summer Experience camp, you’re making a worthwhile investment into recruiting the future of our industry.

HMSE is designed to expand work-based college alternatives, introduce high school students and recent graduates to careers in the building trades and help fill our industry’s skills shortages. Camps are customizable to meet your needs, and include multi-week sessions, week-long sessions and condensed camps.

Since its inception in 2021, Heavy Metal Summer Experience has been recognized on the national stage through participation in industry trade shows and conferences, spotlights in trade publications, recognition by legislative representatives, awards and more. Our program is proven to work, and your camp matters.
