You’ll be actively moving around during your camp session, so a water bottle is recommended. Otherwise, come prepared with a good attitude and be ready to learn! Host sites will provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), like high-visibility vests, gloves and safety glasses, along with your tools and work boots — all of which you’ll leave on-site for the duration of your camp.

During the Heavy Metal Summer Experience, you won’t just be meeting trade industry leaders — you’ll be working alongside them on projects throughout your camp. You’ll also meet with local trade union representatives, who can guide you to the resources you need to apply for various union apprenticeships across several construction-related disciplines.
